Corporate Entertaining at Highclere Castle

Highclere Castle offers a variety of opportunities for corporate entertaining and conferences. Situated midway between London and Bristol, Oxford and Southampton, the Castle is within easy access of major cities, airports and railways stations. Highclere has hosted large family fun days, team building days, conferences, award ceremonies, product launches, Christmas parties and Board meetings.

Six State Rooms dating back 160 years are available for indoor activities and fine dining. Hundreds of acres of landscaped parkland provide scope for activity days impossible in a city location.

Highclere Castle provides a stunning backdrop for your special corporate days or evenings. A place to bring people together, whether clients or employees, for that special occasion.

Highclere Park

The location and scale of Highclere Park makes it the perfect venue for outdoor activities. Clay shooting, archery, falconry and quad biking are all in demand. One thousand acres of 18th century landscaped parkland offer considerable scope for car launches, marquee events and music concerts. Access for coaches and heavy goods vehicles combines with parking for hundreds of cars to provide the ideal venue for large scale events.

The Castle

The Castle can combine large conference rooms with several "break-out" rooms. In-house catering under the Castle's Head Chef provides excellent cuisine, whether buffet lunches, dinners or canapés for receptions.

A unique Special Tour

The 5th Earl of Carnarvon set out for Egypt from his home at Highclere Castle in 1905 and spent the following 17 years on archaeological expeditions. Despite little inital success, he persevered with his digs throughout Middle and Lower Egypt. In 1922, he discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun with his colleague and friend, Howard Carter.

His great grandson, the 8th Earl, has recently opened a much-extended exhibition of the 5th Earl's work in the cellars of the Castle.

During your corporate event at the Castle, you can give your guests a very special tour of the "Wonderful Things" Exhibition.

Beginning with the 'Antiquities Collection' containing exhibits up to 5,000 years old, the Exhibition follows the 'Path to Discovery' before visitors see for themselves what Carnarvon and Carter found as they made a hole in the secret door to Tutankhamun’s tomb and peered inside to find unimaginable treasures.
